Die American Saddlebred Stute von Schleich Horse Club trägt, wie für die Pferderasse typisch, ihren Kopf und ihren langen Schweif sehr hoch. Früher waren die American Saddlebreds Reit- und Fahrpferde der amerikanischen Siedler. Heute sind sie vor allem Showpferde. Einige beherrschen neben Schritt, Trab und Galopp auch die Gangarten Slow Gait und den sogenannten Rack. Beide sind angenehm weiche, viertaktige Bewegungen.
