Beschreibung
Englands größter Lachexport seit den legendären Monty Pythons ist und bleibt Rowan Atkinson. Ob als Blackadder oder Mr. Bean, seine Figuren sind Komikkult und bringen Millionen zum Lachen. Er führt das gegen den Strich besetzte Ensemble an. Als naiv-geistloser Hirte des zivilisationsfernen Landkaffs Little Wallop, das ganze 57 Einwohner zählt, entgeht ihm, dass ihn seine Frau Gloria (Kristin Scott Thomas) mit Golfprofi Lance (Patrick Swayze) betrügt.
Die Situation läuft aber erst recht aus dem Ruder, als die neue Haushälterin Grace (Maggie Smith) wieder Schwung in den Alltagstrott bringt und für jedes Problem eine endgültige Lösung parat hat.
Die erfrischende Brit-Comedy mit Sitcom-Einschlag von zwerchfellerschütterndem Format steht in bester Tradition der Ealing Studios ("Ladykillers") und nimmt sich wie eine liebenswürdige Version von Kulturschreck John Waters ("Serial Mom") aus.
